Kathy A. Dougherty

Kathy Dougherty received a law degree from the Ohio State University in 1992 and that year began representing plaintiffs in the area of personal injury and medical malpractice.

Ms. Dougherty has an extensive medical background.  She holds a bachelor's degree in Nursing and an associate's degree in respiratory therapy.  Her 15 years of medical experience includes serving as a respiratory therapist, neonatal nurse, neonatal transport clinician and neonatal nurse practitioner in both Level II and Level III hospitals.  Her medical background has helped her to be successful in the settlement of numerous cases, many of which resulted in multi-million dollar recoveries. She represents injured persons all over Ohio and in some cases other states such as Kentucky, West Virginia and Texas.  Although Ms. Dougherty primarily handles medical malpractice cases, she also represents Plaintiffs in other injury cases such as car/truck accidents, defective products and insurance claims.

Ms. Dougherty is admitted to practice law in all courts in Ohio and the Southern District of Ohio.   She is a member of the American Association of Justice, the Ohio Association for Justice and the Ohio State Bar Association. 

She has resided in Licking County for over 30 years where her husband is a small business owner.  She enjoys spending time with her husband and friends, quilting, running and horseback riding.
